About Us Cambridge Allen, member of Electronic Representatives Association, aims to serve our principals and customers in the electronics market by developing strategic alliances, engineering design-in's, solving problems, and serving as a personal liaison. When Lucent Technologies had a serious thermal issue with its telecom products, Cambridge Allen brought in Aavid Thermalloy, known for its ability to solve crises in thermal management. Bringing together these two engineering communities allowed for our customer to achieve its goals and our manufacturer, profitability. To provide in-depth coverage of the territory for our principals so they can increase their sales, services, and profits; to continue to increase our gross income by an average of 10% per annum. PersonnelAn outside Sales Engineer, an Inside Sales Coordinator/Administrative Assistant, and Accounting Manager, allow us to provide in-depth and localized coverage for our Principals. DistributionRecognizing that distribution is the key to any Electronic market place, our OEM sales personnel work directly with the distribution base and respective customers. Our program for distribution is well defined including training, referrals, buddy calls, goal setting and Point of Sale Reporting. EDPSoftware programs are operated on up to 6 node Windows 2000 Network, giving us tremendous flexibility to serve both our outside sales and inside sales staff. Our RPMS Software Package combined with both our Microsoft presentation and Act 2003 software permit us to produce timely marketing information to our Principals and Distributors. We can quickly obtain the necessary data to respond to every request from Principals and customers. We have, therefore, designed our sales and marketing programs to maximize the time we spend with customers. We maintain a continuity of product lines we represent insuring that our individual effectiveness is enhanced by controlling the diversity of products. Through training offered by our key Principles and field experience, we are able to maintain within our organization the technical expertise to successfully support our Principals. Furthermore, we require our sales staff to be knowledgeable and familiar with each product line we represent. The programs formulated for our personnel are designed to both stimulate and reward excellence. Salespeople are on salary and commission programs as well as end-of-year bonuses dependent on overall achievement of company sales goals and profitability. Travel, medical, and associated sales expenses are fully paid. Competitive market pressures, cutbacks in inside support staff and production being outsourced to Contract Manufacturer’s and in some cases, design as well, have forged a more dependent relationship between the manufacturer and Rep network. Representatives are now more integrated in providing services formerly handled by the manufacturer underscoring the importance and reality of the ‘lower cost solution’ the Rep function provides.
