Samsung SDI launched into the LCD business in 1986, producing the entire integrated display module including the core materials such as LCD driver ICs, Touch Panel, and ITO glass, SDI has constructed a system for high quality and short delivery term.

According to the rapid development in mobile telecommunication technology, the mobile handset market is projected to reach 400 million in 2000, up from 280 million in 1999. To meet the changing demands of the market, Samsung SDI is developing new display devices that show dynamic moving images and full-color, as well as high capacity and high value added LCD's.

Reflective & Transflective Color STN LCD:

• According to the rapid growth of the mobile market, color products which can support Internet and E-mail functions, are expected to increase
• The color LCD applied to mobile phone must have a Low power consumption and High definition. Samsung SDI has developed a Reflective type and Transflective type Color STN LCD to meet such needs
• Also, Samsung SDI will do the best to improve the quality level
